Storyboard Animatic - Teen Titans GO!

A test for WB from 2015.  One of my favorites.  Done in Flash.

Flash Animation - "Realvana" for Epipheo.com

A nice freelance gig for Epipheo.com.

Flash Animation-"No Time for Adventure?"

Here's a little short test I did a while back for Epipheo.com.  Got a nice gig out of it!

Blizzcon 2013!

As a fan of Blizzard Entertainment, I took the opportunity last year to check out the Blizzcon event at the Anaheim Convention Center back in November 2013.  Inspired by the amazing art, I did a few café sketches at the nearby Starbucks.

A Viking Orc, made for my friends at the Viking Truck.
(Yes, even as a viking, he pretty much just looks
like an orc.)

My first café sketch of the day, done at the local
Starbucks.  It's a scene from the book "The Shattering"
by Christie Golden.
Good ol' Murloc Tidehunter, a fan favorite.

In Warcraft, there are two main factions: The Horde and the Alliance.
I noticed most of my drawings were Horde themed, so I decided
to add some balance.  So I thought,
"Steampunk Tony Stark Gnome Lightsaber."
And the character that started it all for me: The Orc Shaman.

A Quick Assignment

This is a little piece of work I did a while back for Silly Filly Studios, a fan site dedicated to doing fan films in the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic universe.  Here, I animated the characters of Discord and Chrysalis heckling the trailer for Silly Filly's fan film titled "Snowdrop."  I built the Computer and Desk assets, and, other than Chrysalis' eyes and a few mouth shapes, the models for Discord and Chrysalis were already done.

Finally some Flash Stuff

So it's been a long time since I posted, mainly because I didn't know how to embed Flash files directly into this site.  Any attempt to convert it to another movie format always led to disaster.  But finally, at long last, I think I can now show you some work that I did the way it was meant to be seen!  Rejoice.

A long while back, my good friend, animator Liz Skaggs, asked if I'd like to help her with a project.  It involved animating God in a fist fight.  I couldn't say no.  Apparently, her client had the scene partially done, and just needed someone to finish it.  This means that a lot of the character design and animation was done by someone else.  Here is a list of the things I did on this clip:
  • Finished and animated the fight choreography
  • Designed and Animated all 4 callers. (Liz built the rigs)
  • Animated the 5th caller (Characters were designed and rigged by the original artist.)
  • Added glow effects to God's eyes
  • Added banner to the portal
  • Fixed timing on some of the arcs
  • Added facial animation to God's reaction to callers
  • Added final moment of God enraged.
  • Sync'd sound and dialogue.
You may see the full size version of this scene by clicking on this link.  You may also see the full sized, unaltered original here.  Thanks for watching.
